two of the more interesting and musically challenging art/hardcore bands in punk rock combine for an excellent split lp. Atlanta’s blame game kick starts the record with eight tracks of their eclectic hardcore. In many ways blame game are perfecting the sound of captain beefheart covering screamy/chaotic hardcore. With a total free jazz drumming attack, blame game blast out weird timed chaotic blasts that feature all sorts of improve parts. Germany’s zann five tracks are a total onslaught of german hardcore heaviness. Combining the musical sounds of such heavyweights as systral and union of Uranus while still adding a bit of their own ideas, zann will definitely impress even the most jaded listener of hardcore. Good.
